Elaine arrived in Telluride in 1990 with her husband Damon. Her professional career began at the Peaks Hotel and Spa where she served first as the hotel’s Director of Management Information Systems and then as Director of Conference Services. In 2000 she founded Telluride Experience (a Destination Management Company) where, in addition to organizing corporate and social events, she served as Program Director for the Telluride Wine festival (2002- 2005) as well as founded the Telluride Yoga Festival serving as it’s Program Director from 2007 – 2011.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Elaine has raised two children in the Telluride community. She has also been active volunteering her time on the R-1 School District’s Accountability Committee, the Telluride Academy Board of Directors and to this day remains a Board Director of the Just For Kids Foundation.

Elaine served as Executive Director of Telluride Academy, Telluride’s premier youth development organization serving over 900 local and visiting students annually from 2010 until joining the Telluride Foundation in May of 2017.

Her personal passions in the winter months are Nordic and tele-mark skiing. In the summer months you will find her on local hiking and mountain biking trails… year round its yoga, food and wine!
