ALLRED/WELLS TRIBUTE

Honoring Jim Wells, Ron & Joyce Allred

Please Join Us in Honoring Ron & Joyce Allred & Jim Wells at the Oak Street Plaza Dedication

June 9th at 4:00p.m. with reception to follow at Oak Restaurant.

Community encouraged to come.

These past two years have intensified our perspectives and reminded us how important it is to appreciate and celebrate what we have. For many of us, the pandemic has highlighted how lucky we are to call Telluride home. Much of what we love about Telluride was the brainchild of Joyce Allred, Ron Allred and Jim Wells. As a result, the Telluride Foundation is hosting a community celebration to honor them with a dedication at the Oak Street Plaza on June 9th at 4:00 p.m.; A reception will follow at Oak Restaurant.

Long before COVID changed our world, the Telluride Foundation started to think about how the community could better honor Joyce, Ron and Jim as the visionaries behind transforming the Telluride ski area from a few lifts into a world class resort. They both were also founding members of the Telluride Foundation. On June 9th, their contribution to the community will be celebrated with a new public display, created in partnership with the Telluride Historical Museum, that explains the evolution of the Telluride ski area. The unveiling of this display will take place at the Oak Street Plaza at 4:00 p.m with a reception at Oak immediately following.

The Telluride Foundation is the lead donor on this project, but the entire community is invited to help by making a donation of any size to the project. We hope that all who have benefitted from Joyce, Ron & Jim’s bold, risky, and innovative vision will join us in honoring them and this wonderful community they helped create.
