STRONG NEIGHBORS

“Strong Neighbors” aims to create shared prosperity with our neighboring rural communities (Naturita, Nucla, Norwood, and Rico) by supporting each community’s efforts to build thriving and resilient towns. Telluride Foundation’s leadership, resources, and deep community relationships combined with grants, initiatives, and investment programs strive to help each of our neighbors succeed in reaching their own economic development goals.

From helping communities establish their own long-term funding streams through the development of local endowments, such as in Norwood’s Lone Cone Legacy Trust and the West End’s Pay It Forward Trust, to bringing all of our neighbors together to collaborate on a regional Trails Initiative, to funding the West End Economic Development Corporation (WEEDC), which provides resources to new and existing businesses in the region, Strong Neighbors is an all-in approach; because when our neighboring communities are healthy and thriving, the entire region benefits.
