Telluride was founded on innovation and entrepreneurship, from Nicolas Tesla, who invented the first alternating current (AC) motor and developed AC generation and transmission technology, to Ron Allred, who masterfully developed the Telluride ski area. Telluride Venture Network “TVN” is a unique initiative that celebrates and supports the region’s small business eco-system creating a new pathway for innovation in Telluride.
TVN supports ambitious entrepreneurs by offering annual boot camp-driven accelerator programs and workshops as well as connecting regional entrepreneurs with a robust network of world-class professional mentors.
TVN has already proven its ability to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Telluride, bringing new businesses (and jobs) to the region and establishing Telluride as much more than a resort destination. Boasting more than $120 million in economic activity generated through direct investment, money raised, and valuations of its graduate companies, TVN just might be Telluride’s next economic engine.
TVN also provides access to funding for starting-up or further developing small businesses in the region.
San Juan Regional Loan Fund was created to provide working capital loans for business growth and expansion creating more and better jobs. Loans can be combined with other lending sources to create a robust financial package. Lending is designed to help businesses create a financial base that leads to bridging to commercial lending.
