Philanthropy isn’t what it used to be. It is constantly evolving and becoming increasingly more complex. This is why the Telluride Foundation is committed to pursuing endeavors that push the envelope in the world of philanthropy. For 22 years, we have focused our efforts on creative, entrepreneurial solutions to help solve our communities most pressing challenges.
We provide year-round support to local organizations involved in the environment, arts, education, athletics, health, human services and other community-based efforts. We make cash grants to regional nonprofits and community groups, as well as provide capacity building support to help strengthen their effectiveness.
Through our Impact Initiatives we also tackle critical issues with a laser focus on where we can have a direct and significant impact to bolster our region’s economic ecosystem, protect our natural resources and Make More Possible for everyone living and working in the region. Thinking Outside
The Box Canyon.
It takes the entire region to make Telluride the magnificent place that it is. Our community includes a diverse group of individuals, from ranchers in the west end town of Paradox, to die-hard ski enthusiasts in Telluride; from visitors and 2nd home owners in the Mountain Village to retired miners in Ouray, and everyone in-between. We think beyond our three canyon walls to help the entire region thrive. By coming together as a community, we can make more possible.
